Poppers

May be a dumb question but do poppers and other surface lures work at night time? I know colour is a big attractor for the fish, hence lure fishing is done during the day, but the fact that surface lures disturb the water and make sounds, does this attract fish in the dark?

Cool, I actually had Tailor in mind, got a couple of Halco Roosters that need to be broken in so might try them out soon. Went through 2 blocks of mulies last summer in 1 session so keen to see this work. I hate mulie fingers. They stink for days...
Any tips of the retrieve?
