port geo marina lighting ?
have had the experience of coming into port geo at night this winter a few times and im really disapointed at how bad the lighting is at port geo marina
there is bugger all lights in the jetty area and as you make your way into the marina mouth once inside the rock walls
the cardinal markers are ok coming in , but on a dark moon night with poor vis its steady as she goes workign you way through the marina
of course a chart plotter can be used ,although not everyone has one , but given the money raised in licences this area should be better luminated imo for night use
anyone else used it this winter and your thoughts ?
thinking i might raise it to the right mob and see what feedback i get

Always been an issue, I think it's the shire and the people who manage the marina not being able to agree who should do what.

Yeah the lights on the water they would, but actual lighting that help you see what your doing wouldn't be their problem I wouldn't think.

Marina
Hezzy, I think the marina is privately owned, so no one is really interested.

Bad lighting
You definatly need your night vision working well, very poor lighting. The canal wall that sticks out as your getting towards the ramp is interesting, I nearly hit it one night, it looks like it's had a few scrapes.
