Gregory

haven't been for many years use to holiday there, very windy as its closet to Gero witch is situation normal.North point was good for Taylor at sun down.If you can get out of the natural harbor then just go straight out and look for ground used to be very productive.
Had a small commercial fishing boat come in one day to the jetty to off load their catch took off lots of snapper and the biggest Due fish I have ever seen would have gone 40 kg, won him a bottle of bourbon.Said they got it between Gregory and the Islands.
Wind is the biggest killer up there.

have a look and you will see the lumps about 7.5 miles out. lots of country out there, good dhu. for the beach, yes, the north point is pretty consistent for tailor, but the best beach fishing was at Nobbies Hole, which is the other end of the port. Right at the south end of the main reef, size of the hole varies enormously year to year, but always used to be a good mulloway spot. The jetty at night was good for snook and bull herring. massive skippy hunt along the outside edge of the rreef, and are alosocaught just inside the tiny gap in the reef opposite the jetty, and out off the north point by boat, use whitebait.

Charts

If you get reasonable weather you should do really well. The ground to look for is fairly clear on most charts- check Navionics for some forward planning

Take a good selection of plastics and jigs - there are plenty of coral trout.

I would suggest you have a walk of the beach before you drive- last time we were there a couple of years ago the Southern end was quite soft

Robbo.  We will be up there in about 10 days time.  Let us know how you get on.  I will also be taking a cray pot so interested to hear if any crays about.  In previous years we have done well but last year for some reason was crap.  Hutt river beach is good for tailor and mulloway
