Port Lincoln Great Whites

Finally it happened. Have always wanted to see a great white. So for my birthday my gf (jade) bought me a trip to port lincoln south australia to cage dive with the great whites.
Arrived friday the 27th of may ready for the trip the following morning. For the whole three days we were greeted to windless or near windless days followed by a large showing of sharks... eight to ten sharks showed up throughout the day. They were very active and put on an awsome show.
I highly reccomend this trip with "calypso charters" you wont be dissapointed. Better in the winter months more sharksss :) They ranged from 3 to 5 metres.

I got in first and then my mrs and as soon as my mrs got in one rammed right in got its nose and top row of teeth on the inside of the gap and was just bitingg, insanely awsome and apparently very rarely happens. I jumped back and didnt think to take a photo at the time as i was watchin where its teeth were biting haha.

i agreee, very beautiful animal the way they stalk there prey etc just amazing. one secodn theyre there next second vanish then bang in ya face again and just cruising too. Could not imagine full pace attack.

The ocean's apex predator at work. That would have been a simply mind blowing experience. Brilliant photos. I'd like to nominate that second last one for POTM....is there anything in the rules to say it needs to be a 'caught' fish? Can you imagine seeing that coming at you across the surface!!!

You had to do this when I am about to go diving with SHARKS in Tahiti to overcome my fear of Great whites. After being chased and my windsurfing board bitten at Leighton Beach many years ago I am now shitting down to my socks.
Still dont like them, but better with other sharks. Beautiful pictures all the same and I love the one near the surface with all teeth showing. Sort off reminds me off what was behind me on the board that one, apart from some flesh hanging of the top teeth of the one chasing me. Have a picture perfect clear image stored in my memory bank!!!

awesome man, I was in Port Lincoln a few weeks ago and contemplated doing a day trip but the fishing took priority. I always seem to find an excuse to put it off whenever I'm there but gonna make sure of it next time after seeing those.
