PR knot

Just wanted to know if anyone is actively using the PR knot? I've been told with a bobbin it a very easy knot to tie and retains almost 100% line strength. Second query is there anywhere loacl that supplies the bobbins? Cheers.

FG knot is pretty easy to tie

FG knot is pretty easy to tie and you don't need a bobbin, i currently have a basic bobbin but prefer to tie the fg knot both close enough to 100% when tied properly"

I don't live in Perth but i know Oceanside stocks bobbins, think they have the basic "jigtalk" to the "JM premium type bobbin" with the adjustible drag system.

Cheers mate. From what I've seen on you tube the PR looks fairly simple. My problem is I can't get the hang of tying a bimini with braid, basicaly getting it to roll back over it's self. I definately don't have watch maker fingers ;)

Ha ha, both knots are pretty easy to tie once you get your head around it, i find it far easier to learn the knots if you have someone to show you then guide you through it, i didn't have anyone to teach me (don't know anyone in Hedland that uses these knots) so ihad tolearn myself by watching videos on youtube

These are a couple that i like and used to learn the PR knot

With those line classes mate it is definitley possible. I find that anything under 20lb mainline can make things a bit trickier though 15lb shouldnt be a problem and will remain strong.
