Preparing for a topwater GT trips FNQ

Hi guys,

Just preparing for a topwater fishing trip in far north queensland around port douglas etc, I am looking at 4-5 days of fishing and started to gather some lures.

Could someone give me some pointers on what I am missing , or what could be improved ? I am thinking I might need more 100-140g floating stickbaits , and definitely more bigger sinking stickbaits... but how much more haha !

Wow there's a bit of cash there. Maybe a few more big floating sticks as it can be very tiring throwing the large poppers all day and you'll get more of a surface strike out of the floating lures. Although I think you'd have more than enough there already to get you through.

A sense of humor for when these puppies get sacrificed to the fish gods!. Have fun. If you're driving to Port Douglas from Cairns there's a shop in Clifton Beach called Bransfords tackle. It's well worth a visit and a good place to drop some more loot on some gear, just look for the Marlin coming out of the roof on your right hand side next to a servo.

Yep it's a great shop. Never bought anything as wasn't on fishing holidays but went for a browse anyway - as you do!
