Preston beach

Just wondering what sort of weather conditions would I need to deploy my kayak off of Preston beach? Do big swells run at this beach? I heard the bouvards reef run close in this spot and so guessing good fish will be in close here?
Cheers!

Firstly wtf is with your signature haha and secondly I think you will need it to be quite calm ... I no off a few other talkers that have launched at Preston/white hills and I've been there land based many times and the shore dump can be pretty big so ide suggest the best weather possible haha

been to preston beach, huge swell and very windy most of the time. Went there start of this year and dont think will go back there. It would be ok casting but to launch a yak would be suicide ;)

Check the weather
Should be no reason why you couldn't launch off the beach. Been down there many times and it's dead flat in the morning, light easterlies will help you out. I reckon you'll have some success out there. See a few tinnies get launched on Preston beach
Old fishermen never die they just smell that way.

As others have said Trav wait
As others have said Trav wait for it to be offshore and small swell. if you paddle out through the cut and head north there is plenty of inshore reef right up past Buffalo beach.
