Pretty Dire at Pieland

Looks like FIGJAM is going to be playing as the injury sub this weekend for the battle for the spoon.
He might need to play again next year as they traded this year's first round pick (currently 2) to GWS for last year's picks 24 and 30.

Couldn't do
Couldn't do any worse than Bucks pulling on the jumper at the moment
at least he could hit a target
Sadly the Pies have lost there way and will be down for a long time, but still suppoort them no matter what
And Frosty isn't taking the piss out of the Dockers or Hawthorn or Boon or anyone else except us so that in itself is a win for some I guess

True Brock O, the wet scroates were pretty quiet last week, I didn't see a single post from Frosty
Isn't 97 point loss the worst for the season? if not must be close.
At least we can't be accused of tanking for a better first round pick, we gave that away in the fire sale at trade time ffs.

Pies in trouble!
Couldn't agree more about things being dire at Pieland Frosty, I reckon there are a few too many egos (Grundy, De Goey) standing in the way of team harmony. When was the last time you heard about a Geelong or Tigers player state publicly, "I want this many years/$$$ or I'm out"?? That sort of thing, along with abysmal salary cap management can cut the heart out of a side.
For mine it's a pity as I reckon Bucks is a good coach, but at the end of the day it's all about results and I think he might be trouble!
However, I will pick you up on the trading of draft picks, that was done specifically as we will pick up Nick Daicos who is touted as possible No 1 with out first pick + points under Father-Son regardless of where our first pick is, so why waste a first rounder when you can split it like we did, get the Daicos kid for pick 24 & score another 2nd rounder? That was the one clever thing the Pies did last post season (the rest of it was a disaster!)

Only problem is that the Pies
Only problem is that the Pies don't have enough points for Daicos which means they'll have to use points from the following years draft like Freo did for Liam Henry. They ended up sliding from 7th to 14th in the pecking order after academy and compensation picks for other clubs. Could be the difference between a Sam Walsh or a Matt Rowell and some run of the mill B grader

Eddies gone....
I understand that Eddies real reason for leaving is so he wouldnt have to sack Buckley.
I cannot agree that he is a good coach... all his 'success' has been when he had very good assistants.
A very good instinctive player...with no ability to read the future prospects of any club, let alone the one he coaches.
Never forget that he left Brisbans coz he wanted to play finals football.....

Brocko have you just been to
Brocko have you just been to India?
Frosty you are savage....
I DID NOT SEE THE DEMO OF TIGES COMING LAST NIGHT!!!
Fark she's a funny ol year!!
I'm starting to think a smokey like GWS might be the eventual victors in a strange ol year, Top 4 will be very important come years end an the momentum swings in games...
Someone quoted above about Buckley only being any good when he had good assistants.... Well fucking hello!!
Thats what a CLUB is.....
Look at who Clarko had around him over the years - Hardwick, Bevo, Simpson to name a few of the recent succesful coaches he was fortunate enough to have helping in the box...
Its only the folks at Pie land that really know what has/did go on with Treloar etc...
What we do know though is they ran out of cash, they thought this was the best way forward and only time will tell but they drafted very very well!
In my opinion Bucks will go but thats only due to the need for change ( to quote Lee Matthews ) - The Pies have some of the best young talent(sub 20 games ) in the league, young Henry, and young Macrae to name a couple that will be guns for a long time...
Someone else quoted about Grundy and Degoey holding the club for ransom with salary..... Actually that was you Jiggles.... You fucking had your head stuck in the sand boyo or what?? Do you not remember Dusty going to tour the GWS facility because the tigers werent going to pay him WHAT HIS DAD wanted....
He limped back on less cash.....
Then Mcglovin.... Only a couple of years ago 2017 from memory, landed a 1,000,000 deal at the Eagles, you fucking joking me or what....
Plenty of clubs get held to ransom by these players nowadays!!
So..... While you woman are all getting on your period together and knitting up a Pie storm, in my opinion its a storm in a tea cup....
Pies have a good enough base of talent as soon as next year they could be back playing and winning finals...
This has been Timboon reporting from AFL headquaters Cowtown....

So more lies from inside the Wet Scroates, fancy saying he is devastated and broken, if he is it's because he got caught.
If the Eagles board has any integrity it will let him go, if not then the drug cover up inside the Eagles continues.

Where'd you hear that snippet mate?
You know you can go on bashing the club but they didn't shove the drugs down his jocks. Of course they will stand by him as much as they can (just like Richmond with their blokes on the weeekend) but have already stated that sacking is definitelty being considered. He is in their employ so have a duty of care for him it's not about a drug culture. Like I said zero sympathy from me, get rid of him. The rest of the team are fucked off from what I hear.

Not a bad gig when you are getting paid while stood down due to drug tampering but thats' the way it is.
I get if he or any player for that matter was injured while playing then they deserve payment (Compo) like any worker, but this is a bit odd.
And yes I have heard there are a few players who aren't happy with him and what he has supposedly done, see what the court decides.

Come on Jack
Put him on a rookie contract at 80K PA and you really think you will have a star player, he will at best give you what he thinks is 80K worth.
No conviction and no fine, work with the guy, turn him around and you might have a really good footy player, if not let him go.

I'd rather have a bloke on $80k giving $80k worth than a bloke (I'm looking at you Jordon) on $750k giving about $120K worth
Disagree Skull, he needs to be stripped back to the blokes on the rookie list who would kill for a debut and be made to earn his spot back and then he can negotiate a better contract. If he drops his bundle then just cut ties. He's already made the AFL the hard way once and I think he will respond with the right support put in place.

Perhaps
Perhaps Frosty, but I still don't buy the crap that he was embarrased, hurt, not in a good space and whatever other bullshit they put up in his defence,
He was all of the above because he got caught, imagine if he didn't get caught this time it would have been at some stage so,
Has he learned anything during his 2 years of suspension?
I don't think so, if he twas hat keen on coming back to the Eagles he would not go anywhere near anything that could result in him getting caught and potentially ending his AFL career, that is why, and this is only my opinion, that if your going to support him, don't punish him by dropping back to rookie status and humiliate him even more,
you either give him full support and let him come back to training in June fully reinstated or cut him loose.
I know we all have different views on this, afterall he was given his sentence (or lack of) by the courts and the Umpire made their decision so that should be it.
Did he have to do any kind of Drug rehab during his time out of the game? I'm not sure but if so and he attended then sadly it hasn't worked.
The game is better when he is playing, the Aboriginal boys have a gift that others don't and personally I enjoy watching them play.

So from what I can gather.... the Pies have parachuted some new age woke chick onto the board from a field of 80 applicants who is from Queensland and chose St Kilda as her team when moving to Victoria. The best part of this is that the club has discovered she is ineligible under their own constitution as she's been a 'member' for less than 24 months.
