Project: Pacemaker contessa 21ft (Sold)
Submitted by cameroncuz on Wed, 2012-08-22 19:54
Looking at rebuilding this Pacemaker Contessa 21ft.
I would love to know anything people know about the hull?
Approximate age?
Is it the same hull as a 21ft offshore?
Anyone have one, or been in one offshore?
The previous owner had chopped down the stern and chopped off the cabin. I plan to replace the cabin, undecided what I will do with the stern :)
Also it is planned to be a 1-2 year project (I know I have a lot of work to do!)
Pic related.
Thanks heaps :)
Just ripped out the floor.
Sold :)

Blast from the past
That RNR boat I went to look at last year down in Rockingham I think. A lot of those boats had wood frame hulls and their age approx 25 to 30 years old leaves them sometimes in very bad condition. In saying that, the previous owner may have done all the hard work for you.
Having just finished our second project boat in three years, I can strongly recommend it so long as you have a very understanding wife and even better an even bigger understanding bank manager!! lol. The end result though is sooooo much worth it.
Wherever you go, there you are

Picturing a centre console with all the clears etc... hate to think of the budget though!!!, that stern will look very modern, but once again... budget would be huge... Powering it to start with.. u could prob get something finished and well worth its money

Best of luck with your project.
Did it come with a motor?, or was it an inboard with a leg? Looks as though the previous owner has cut down the transom to fit an outboard. If so you should be able to see the condition of the transom ply. Keep us up-dated with pictures.
