Quick SW Report
Went for a dive near Hamelin on Saturday, beautiful conditions. Managed my first Nanny and a nice queenie. Few other bits and pieces too, some skippy etc that we turned into burley. Didn;t see any dhuies unfortuantely but found some nice new ground.
On a lighter note, hroughout the day we saw plenty of wobbie, some quite large, and had a bit of fun stirring them up. Eventually found a little port jackson shark, grabbed him by the tail and surfaced, crept up behind my mate (who's a newbie diver) and tapped him on the shoulder, a few frantic kicks backwards and I relaeased it aimed towards him. The little prick went straight for his groin and stayed attached for around 15mins. p***ed myself several times and in the end the bugger eventually let go. No injuries uncurred other than some bruising, lucky they don't have teeth. He later told me while we were trying to get it off and it was flapping around he was genuinely scared he'd losre his manhood.
Will think twice about pointing em towards anythign in the future!
Unbelieveable story I know, only wish i'd had my Ikelite and taken some footage, Joe sh**ing himself with a shark attached to his groin, would've got 100000 hits on youtube in the first hour I rekon. Most 'memorable' diving moment ever.

Teeth
Port jacksons do have teeth!!Though they may be small they can still rip a fair chunk of meat off you.
Definitely not the smartest thing to do especially under water and a long way from medical care

Well; there is fun and paybacks
I am sure the shark was as scared as your mate. Probably as pissed off too. IMO it pays to think about things from 2 perspectives. 1. Safety and 2. the well-being of the species you play with.

well done on the fish ,but it was a bit hard reading while pissing myself laughing at your mates misfortune, would have been so funny to see even tho it was a bit of a nasty thing to do , then again you werent to know what the shark was going to do. hope your mate forgives you, but remember one thing . expect the unexpected when you least expect it

Nah old boys on-site
Nah old boys on-site Ody.
UncutTriggerInWA - I agree, not the most responsible behaviour going around harassing the local wildlife all 'willie nillie'. Bit of a one off I guess. Payback for the countless sleeper holds, shark-shield-in-the-esky pranks etc.
Much like catch and release line fishing, only she never left the water.
And clearly this one had alot of pent up anger issues, and luckily found an outlet, via Joe's crotch.
Probably sitting in her cave right now with a feeling as if a thousand bricks have been lifted form her shoulders, listening to Marley and smoking a 'jazz cigarette.'
It'd been a fair while since he had something on the end of his c*** anyway....
