Ramp closure??????

HI

I heard today that the Bundegi Ramp at Exxy is closed.
Is this true? And why? If so anyone know when it will be open again?

Cheers

Will go have a look tomorrow, but i dont see why it would be.  They were putting in hand rails last week, but we were still able to retreive.

I will be there in 8 weeks and want to try the new ramp.

Fishing isn't a matter of life or death, it's much more serious than that!!!

tomato sauce

Your source is way wrong mate, she's still well and truly open.  Went down for a swim last night and there were 7 trailers out from there today.  The missus was pulling the work boat out and the steepness of the ramp almost caused the troopy to roll back into the water (7.5m boat) trying to hold the boats weight.  Just something to think about if you've got a big rig.

no dramas

No dramas, been some 7m fibre cats launching/retrieving, just that the incline on the ramp makes it hard work on the handbrake/gears.  She got out to put the chain on after the boss drove it on and the car started moving down the ramp slowly, wouldn't have been a good look for the dept and wouldn't be nice for your holiday if you lost the car!

Low range 4WD will solve

Low range 4WD will solve that problem Adam.  I even use it on all ramps down here.  Just saves the running gear and no sudden jolt on takoff.

Yep the ramps all good, but

Yep the ramps all good, but what a stupid design. Damn slippery. And a nightmare to retreive solo with a southerly. I dont understand why on earth they didn't build a floating jetty. Make things so much easier. Nice new toy the fisheries have got there Ad's. Your Mrs and boss pulled me up about 8nm west of North Murion. They were wondering where everyone was. There must have been 15 trailers in the carpark and I was the only person on the water they could find. They were looking quite perplexed. Nice and friendly people though. Mind you doing that on a day like Tuesday I would have been bloody happy too.

Cheers Mick
