Raymarine A70D

I went to plug my raymarine unit in for a bottom bounce the other day only to have it go click n flicker and generally upset before I even switched on the power. I found if I ran it with no trasnducer its fine but with transducer it went barney. we went fishing anyways using GPS only however when we got back to mindari I plugged it in and it all worked OK. tried it again yesterday and faulty once more.
My question it could be my unit or my transducer I dont know which :( woudl anyone have an A70D unit and would be willing to let me swing by and plug my unit in to see how it behaves?

I have an A70D, had one
I have an A70D, had one problem when 1 month old, went totally nuts in Broome and ended with a blue screen of death, had to reset it, lost all my waypoints but never missed a beat in the following 3 years.

Intresting how did u reset the unit wiht it BSOD ? I got my waypoints off I guess I could try a factory reset ... a new transducer is $150 wich is not as bad as a new unit $1500 wich now comes with 3 year warranty ! bastards ! mine is 13 months old from the days of 12months ;( Do you remeber how you did the reset ? :)

The reset method is in the
The reset method is in the manual but hidden way back about 2/3 the way through. Think it involved pushing a recessed button with a pen, but can't exactly recall, but easy. Read the detailed manual ( on the net if you don't have it). Good luck.
