Recolour/dye braid?

Has anyone redyed their braid after its faded? Any particular product and process that worked well? Would normal permanent fabric dye work and last? Dont see the point in replacing perfectly good braid if its faded, and yes I have reversed it on the spool.

Do you mean decreased visibility of the line by recolouring it? If not why would you want it to be more visible??

More visible to me, in certain conditions and senarios that I want to see the line, colours that stand out in the sun, or reflect dull light when fishing at night etc. I use a good fluoro leader length to aid in more strikes. I use different colours too on different outfits, when two lines get tangled it makes it easier to deknot. Im guna try some ink pens, cut a slot in them and wind the line through. Its jyst the top say 15-20m that loose most the colour, dont wana go choppin it off

Yep fair enough. Spinning

Yep fair enough. Spinning with braid seems to strip the colour off before too long and i think the integrity of the line starts dropping off a bit too. I usually just cut 5m off per session to smarten things up. Braid seems quite repellent in nature to things adhering to it but see how you go.
