If you havent already eaten it , then get it wieghed on certified scales (butcher,greengrocer) and get the person who weighed it and one other to sign off on the weight and apply to Australian anglers association (WA division).cheers Pete

I've seen a few mid 60cm fish caught in SA which weighed around 2.5kg so that'd be a pretty close weight for yours. They're such a fat fish at that length.

Yer Tim it was about the 20th photo in a row I was getting pretty sick of photo's by this stage ha ha i knew it was a good KG but didn't think it was big enough to make records, i'll have to catch another one now ha ha.

I got one in Lancelin a couple of years back at 680mm .....................got him in about 6-8m of water and I thought it was a little shark coming up. The big KG's certainly go pretty hard

 

Looking at this post I reckon it would have given the record a shake.
