years ago me and a few mates used to hammer the reefs at onslow free diving , it was so easy deepest you had to dive was 15 meters , worst thing we did was clean our catch on the way home chuck all the carcasses off the boat then jump back in after 15 minutes and pick of a few coral trout that had come around for a free feed I must admit years later I feel a bit bad about that , and no way would I ever spear a dopey old blue groper

Come to think of it maybe we should! We could have a fishwrecked Boxing/UFC/MMA slugfest where we charge for admission and all bets outside the ring have a fee, a bar and all funds raised go to charity. Pete you are the main draw card (Rhonda Rousey ish) and take on all comers one after the other. You of course will wear a gimp mask as your identity will need to be protected throughout your ordeal. Each competitor (you pay nothing as you are the designated punching bag) will auction themselves off to be 1st cab off the rank and the highest bid gets the honour to go first and then so on and so forth.
What do you reckon crew? Could really be a fun night.

Haven’t had a MT fight as yet
Haven’t had a MT fight as yet but represented WA 2x in karate at the Nationals. Couple of meniscus knee surgeries (besides this latest one) and a separated AC joint along with having 3 kids being born in that time and then going back to play footy again hasn’t allowed me to put in the 5-6x days per week required…. all excuses. My coach is old school and won’t put fighters in until they are in A+ condition.
I do really just love the conditioning and art of it and mixing it sparing with the boys who are active fighters and have done some training in Thailand. Soon as I get back from this knee it is something I definitely need to do before I get too old especially now that I am chucking in footy. Walk around at 72-74 but would have to get down to a ridiculous 62-64 and I was 67 when training 60km/week for half marathons... another reason it hasn't appealed to me as it means no beer.
