rod building
use the best guides you can afford (I use fuji sic guides) may aswell get the best components if your getting a quallity blank and want it to last for a long time and peform at its best.
Take your time with the binding, leave no gaps as this will ruin all good aesthetics.
cheers,
tom

Are you planning to import
Are you planning to import it? The postage would be a lot. It might pay to get one from Australia to save a bit. The Samurai blank range are worth a look, I have 2 already and love them.
Agree also on the guides, buy good quality if you are going to build. Ive just placed an order for a couple of builds as I'm starting out too. I went with the EMNSG Fuji guides. For a bream rod these would work but if you are going to order from mudhole the TLNSG guides are worth a look. If I was going to build a baitcsater this is what I would get. The lightweight and strength of the Titanium is great and will help a light bream blank out a lot plus the corrosion resistance is a very big plus.
Also take a look at the Matagi products. I ordered my reel seats and a few other things off them. As far as bling goes, they are the best and are very helpful.

I'm teaming it up on a
I'm teaming it up on a Stradic Ci4 1000, so EVA grips on the rods would suit the reel,
I geuss something blinging would be nice! so i'll check matagi out,
Cheers for the help guys, and if the grips aren't the right diameter for the rod, do you get a slightly bigger diameter or choose something different wich is the same diameter??

You have to get smaller
You have to get smaller diameter grips so the EVA stretches over the blank. That and some epoxy and it will never move. So if the butt diameter was say 12 mm, get 10 mm Diameter EVA. This also takes care of the taper of the rod otherwise the top of the grip will not be snug against the blank.
When you check Matagi out, consider the IPS seat or even if you go for the standard DPSD seat, bling it up by getting it painted plus add the locking rings and stuff.
I've also ordered the dimpled winding checks to go with the set-up. They are coming from mudhole.
Mine are yet to arrive but I can't wait!!
PM me if you like.
