Rod to match fin nor reel???

Hi guys. A friend of mine is about to purchase himself a fin nor marquesa 30 or 20 for a trip north in a couple weeks. We're both away at work and leave the day we get back so he's unable to go to a shop and properly pair it with a decent rod. 2 questions. Anyone had any experience with these reels and can recommend a rod. Secondly, what size? 20 or 30. Will be bottom fishing 20 to 60 meters. Spool it with probably 30 maybe 50 pound braid. Any help much appreciated.

Rod for Marquesa
Hey Maccie,
I have a Marquesa 12 loaded with 40lb braid on a Demon Blood Hiramasa rod. The reel fits nicely in your hand. Good balanced combo....bottom bashing or trolling. The 20 or 30 size is pretty large (and weighty) to fish all day. Happy medium size would be the 16 size.

You could pair it with the finnor o\h rod, comes in 30, 50, 80 and 100lbs. Good rod at a reasonable price. I think the weight class is a bit overstated, the 80 feels more like a 50. I have the 100lbs matched to a Talica 12 2 speed, nice balance

Deep Jig 200
Couple of mates had just got the Marquesa 12 matched to the new Shimano Deep Jig 200 with 50lb. Bottom bashed with them over the long weekend at Leeman in 40m-80m. Went very well.
