Rod Recommendations for stella 8000sw

Just after some ideas on a rod to suit a stella 8000sw Spooled With Varivas PE4(64lb). Im looking for a casting rod that i can also use for larger jigheads (2-4oz) and buttterfly jigs on the odd occasion. Trying to stick to a budget of under $400 but could dig deeper if needed.

good luck with that one, cast or jig, but not both when you start getting into a reel that size. I would say a saltiga hiramasa 6'3" spin is the closest I have used that can do both OK, mate used his with a twinpower 8000 so same size and used it for chucking metals at tuna and jigging. He did end up selling it and getting a longer smiths for casting and bought an overhead jig rod for lighter jigging.

we just got a daiwa demon
we just got a daiwa demon blood 64combi jerk in, that would possibly fit that reel due to the larger grip design. Pop into the shop and bring your reel. Rod sells for $349

buy a really nice casting
buy a really nice casting rod (smiths etc) then get a separate jig rod, like a eupro or similar (for me I am happy to spend the money on a nice casting rod as I love using them all day on tuna etc) jig rod I am more likely to not spend big as there are heaps of mid price good jig rods.

unfortuntely i cant get down
unfortuntely i cant get down to perth for a while and i'v got a trip to qld coming up so i doubt i'l get to look at any rods befor i go i'l just be buying one and getting it sent up . do any shops in perth stock major craft or Hots. just looking around online and i came across the Major craft offblow casting rods and the Hots super popping rod PE3-5. Has anyone had anything to do with these rods at all.

I have a majorcraft offblow PE3 and I like it, but its not very princess for the stella! HOTS is nice gear too, but you won't be working SPs too well on a popping rod.

The Combi Jerks would suit
The Combi Jerks would suit you better than the Hiramasa. The Hiramasa 63S is rated to 19 kg or 40 lb braid. You could do 50lb but you'd be risking breaking it on the 64 lb Varivas.

Smith Kgs 68 or 70mh
That would be my choice for what its worth

just checked out the smith kgs 68 and 70mh, They look ideal. Probly leaning towards the 70mh. I just found them on campbells, would they be the only stockest in perth
