Rod/Reel Match

Hi guys/gals. I'm heading up to Jurien in a couple of weeks to go out with Whitey. The main rod and reel I'll be using is an Abu Garcia 15kg (5'7") Sonar Tip rod, coupled with a Fin Nor Offshore 9500 reel loaded with 30lb braid. I would really appreciate some feedback on this combination please. Should I look at a rod with a bit more "give", because this one does seem a little on the stiff side. I don't really want to buy a new reel, because the Fin Nor is great, although a little heavy. My other bottom bouncing rig is the entry level Penn 330GTI combo, also loaded with 30lb braid. Any suggestions will be appreciated.
Cheers
Baz

na that should be fine although he does have 18000 saragosas on tcurve jig400s with 50lb braid if you want to use them.

From recollection Whitey uses
From recollection Whitey uses Saragosa combos, if that's the case I wouldn't buy anything, just take your preferred combo and if it's too stiff etc then just use what he's got.

Sounds good to me
Thanks for that. I don't do much other than bread and butter fishing, due to the size of my boat. Once a year charter plus whatever I can scrounge from contacts during the year.
