Has been a long time for me - just had a couple and still love them 
. Got me thinking about trying to make my own - has anyone made them before, can offer some advice about how to do it? Thanks

With two spoons full of soft brown sugar
and a few whole peppercorns - you need to add a slight sweetness to get the flavour balance - herring work really well

I wasnt sure that it was just vinegar in the jar without other liquids. Will be giving that a crack soon with the herring.
