Who is the West Coast player in the bright yellow top and the whistle?? He has been there best player tonight. That holding the ball call on Joseph was a shocker!!!
Eagles are playing far better but the Blues are hanging on ok

OK so I am stirring the pot a bit but in all seriousness the ruling on contact with the head is getting a bit ridiculous. Any little touch, no matter how soft and they pay the free. It is getting a bit silly

all I can say is bring on next week at the G!!
It will be the fist time in months that the eagles have actually played a half descent team
I am hoping Collingwood are on for a 100 point + victory but I won't start the cheering just yet.
The Eagles are playing some pretty good footy I will give them that, not sure about everyone booing Chris Judd though! (I am a massive Collingwood fan but actually went to the eagles game tonight because i had a free ticket thrown my way)
although he doesn't play for my team Chris Judd is one of the best to play the game (he has won 2 brownlows after all)
Not sure if he deserves all of the boo's from the eagles fans. Especially seen as though he was like a god to the Eagles members only about 5 years ago!!

No wet eyes here buddy, in fact as a Carlton supporter I am happy with the result of the game. We really lost our way there for a while and finally it is looking like we might be putting together something decent again. 2 more hard games to come and i would not surprise me if we didnt win either one. The way the eagles had it over us in the first half htey should have won by 60 or more but we kept them in check and got close.
As for the ref, he had a shocker. that 50m penalty was way too bloody soft, not that it really mattered at that stage of the game

Yeah I agree the ref was a shocker, for a number of reasons. That holding the ball decision that Joesph got pinged for and the current interpretation of the holding the ball rule is rediculous. They are penalising the bloke that actually gets down and tries to get the ball out, then to have 3 opposition plays jump on top and hold it in. I think the guys that try and hold it in should be pinged.
Our boys were great 1st half, the pressure was incredible kicking out from full back. The 3rd quarter fade outs are a bit of concern though, but they ran the game out well. The whole 2nd half was full on war.
As far as Chris Judd goes. He is a dead set champion, a dual Brownlie medalist and a former captain of our club and the way he gets treated when he come to Subi is rediculous. I'm a huge eagles fan, but you can't carry on like that, wether he left the club or not. He went back to Melbourne for family and personal reasons, no worries. Let it go...

I'm sure when Jack Darling reviews the tape from last night he will hang his head in shame, and should get a right belting from the coach and his team mates. I would not tar the whole team with that brush though. There was some pretty gutsy acts out there last night. Jacob Brennan did some great things in the last quarter, with no acting what some ever, Kerr and Pridus at the bottom of the pack all night. Everyteam has them. Kozzi and Milne from the Saints, the Jetta boys, are names that spring to mind, it has no part in AFL.
I can't remember the Lynch free. I think they lead the free kick because they throw their body in and earn the free kick and the opposition panic.
