Roos on road

Warning for those travelling north for school holidays, watch out for roos and goats from Overlander north to Carnarvon.

Went down to Shark Bay last Monday before the road clean up patrol had gone through and there was approx 30-40 fresh carcasses on the roadside. Will be heading down again tomorrow and will update if it is the same.

Woomarel

I used to cull Woomarel and if there is a bit of local rain a type of green shoot sprouts next to the road verge and goats/roos love it.The shire/main roads should contract a local shooter to clean up the road down to the lookout and back

Waroora

I culled Waroora as well for a few months. It is a purebred Merino for wool station so If you ask Marty nicely he may get you to do any goats you see and Dorper sheep as they will cross breed with the merinos

Duncan I've not heard of goats and Sheep X breeding, is that a thing?

Were you shooting on Woomamel for the Steadman?

I think duncan61 is referring to the cross breeding of Dorper sheep and merinos.

When i read my own post I can see the issue,Its the Dorper sheep that cross with the Merino.I met leonie at Landor races and when I enquired about culling she advised me that any spotty sheep I see to take out.I scored a few cats and a few red roos and sorted some plumbing issues while I lived there.I fished a beach where there is a gap and scored 2 nice spangled Emporor. Its good country up there but remote as
