Rossmoyne Area

Hi guys

Just moved into the Rossmoyne area and just wondering if there is any point going to the river and having a cast around Rossmoyne?

I can literally walk there in a minute or so and would be good if anyone has had any luck there. There seems to be a lot of reed and weed but is there any sandy spots etc. I always see boats out this way but mainly skiing.

Cheers

Yeah thanks Ryan

Was thinking that, looks fishy but wasn't sure. Prob be a few blowies around though.

Might try some soft plastics and some hard bodies too.

What artificials would be best to try?

This spot can be good for casting lures for bream. Usually nice and sandy with not much weed. Wade out from the reeds at low tide and cover that whole bank.

Along 5th Avenue mate, holds

Along 5th Avenue mate, holds numerous amount of Bream, Flathead and Tailor if the baitfish are abouts. Awesome sessions can be had on the rising tide, lure wise you should go along with hardbodies cause there are plenty of Blowies that will tear through your plastics. Hope this help's cob.

There is a spot in rossmoyne

There is a spot in rossmoyne that definately holds some serious bream, my PB of 43cm was caught from there. In that same session i landed a 41, 40 and also a 38. My partner landed a 35cm fish aswell. i usually fish that area in the months coming into winter.

For a period last year a group of us fished it a few times and we always managed fish over 40cm each session. i believe the biggest taken was 46cm.
