Rotto

Hi guys and gals, I'm heading over to Rotto in a couple of weeks and need some advice on fishing Rotto landbased.

Just reading through a few posts and was after any more info. (Not a whole lot of info on here for Rotto LB)

I will be just taking over a little Okuma flick rod and reel combo (8lb I think) and just some sp's, chromies and poppers. After maybe some tailor spots and the like.

Any thoughts on whether it is better to use bait or artificial?

Best spots to try?

Species to target?

Cheers

if your takin placcies, metals and poppers, ride down to west end...... Impeccable fishing. most of the little bays around the island are full of fish aswell. just look for intense reef structure... its not hard to find hahahah

I agree, not too hard to find nice spots. might depend on the wind direction. One of my favourate spots is ricey beach, have a walk around on the reef to the right and cast across some holes, should find some fish there.

Heard there was some KG's floating around weekend just gone?
Anyone know any land based KG spots worth having a crack at?

Cheers
