Headed out off Bunbury today with the aim of jigging a nice Snapper or Dhuie, but we got into thumping big Salmon about 25 nautical miles offshore.Took fish on soft plastics as well as metal jigs.

Great pics and report
We were drifting about 18k's off Busselton yesterday and had a school of salmon break the surface... jumping all over the place. By the time I got a rod setup it was all over and they were gone
Will have one at hand when we go out tomorrow.
Cheers,
David

China wall
Caught them out as far as the China wall, Russ. A big drop off about 15nm out from Naturaliste reef. The outer schools seem to follow the edge from Cape Naturaliste straight north rather than curling back in to Geographe bay

Yeah good fun Russ. When you come across a school like that it's hard not to have some fun with them. These fish when hooked would head straight down once pressure was applied then just before the bottom they'd turn and take a 45 degree trip to the surface propelling themselves even further into the air than normal. Lucky I had put all new Fireline Tracer Braid on my reel.
Hi Goodz, Unfortunately Garbo is so far behind me in our comp. that he's going to struggle to catch up! Ha Ha!
