Went out last night chasing some snapper, still a bit sloppy so came into Warnbro to drop a line. I noticed some fish coming into the burly that i thought might be skippy. After a couple of goes i managed to hook one, just to discover that they where small sambo's about 5 to 6 inches long. It was a bit of a suprise as it can only mean that they are spawning in warnbro sound. Has anyone else come acroos schols of the that size ? there were a lot of them.

Earlier in the year I was
Earlier in the year I was dropping sabiki jig for bait in 22m, one of the schools on the sounder was 3cm sambo's must have been millions of them. Also saw some schools of 4-6cm snook in the millions. When the bluefin schools first fired up they were feeding on tailor fry as well 3cm they were chucking them up on deck.

The days of me punching into the slope are well and truely over. i do alright with the pinkies, i used to go out witha mate who unforunately has passed away. We fished for snapper together for twenty years, on the seven behind the sisters penguin island and the back of the F,F. i still get out on the finer days and do ok, but i have to admit its not as good as it could be, especialy with the dhu fish on the F,F. hell we go out and get three or four without a problem 15 to 25 lb. i speared a 45 lb on north of coventry on one dive, but i think those day are gone to much fishing pressure no.
