Sat morning Swan whiting....

Gonna be in the city Saturday morning and hoping to have a flick with the surface lures somewhere around the lower part of the river...while I've developed reasonable knowledge around the Peel area regarding this type of fishing I'm an absolute noob anywhere else!

Hoping someone on here can PM me a rough idea of where to go...or better still, meet me somewhere for a bit of flats fishing Sat morning. Am more than happy to return the favour down Mandurah way over the next few weeks!

I can't make it down there

I can't make it down there but whenever I take the kids to paddletheir feet west of the swan brewery there are always whiting on the flats around there. The blowies even come and follow your footsteps to scrounge a meal so that keeps them occupied while targeting better fish.

 I'm no expert on whiting

I'm no expert on whiting fishing in the river, but I did see a fishing wa dvd where they were targeting yellow fin whiting (with bait after dark) on the flats on the western side of point walter sand bar if that helps at all.

Was thinking Pt Walter might be a goer but have received some very informative pm's regarding other spots...I certainly appreciate all the advice and yeah, if anyone wants to have a crack down Mandurah way I can provide some info as well...
