SCAMMERS ON GUMTREE
Just thought I would make you guys aware of some scammers on gumtree,
Recently there was a Hanies signature runaboat for sale for less the half the rrp,
emailed the seller as there was no contact number, the so called seller emailed
me back with a long winded story about being in the UK and they would release the
boat if I transfered half the money too them, obviously did not happen.
After this the same seller had a quintrex, supposedly brand new for a third of the price,
after their first effort I was totally peeved of and sent them a real nasty email absolutley tore shreds of them
for being gutter trash and told them they had been reported.
anyhow, I'm sick of these pricks and would recommend others to send them a nasty email
back after they have tried to scam you.
By the way they had the haines on there again a few hours ago but it now been removed after I sent them another email!!!!

better to just report the add
can click on the report add button that gumtree provides
when its that cheap there is no use enquiring. it either a scam or already sold
sending them an email gives them your name when it appears in their inbox. dont want to give scammers your name and email address. sure that could be the start of worse things.
cheers

People say that I'm old
fashioned get with the times they say and get a credit card, buy off the net, I say get stuffed, I'll buy with cash when I can see the product or white goods, TV in front of me. Yes I might be old fashioned as I was brought up to buy with your own money not somebody elses (the bank) But I also know that their are some damn good sites to buy from and say good luck to those that do buy from genuine honest web sites and most importantly can save a lot of money. I'll stay in my old fashioned groove hahaha

I was recently selling my
I was recently selling my dinghy and received the scam email from a guy saying he was working on a rig. I worked out it was a scam and told him to p#ss off. Would you believe 1 week later I get an email from him again asking if the boat was still available and that he would pay more than the asking price.
I googled his name and sure enough he is doing this sort of stuff all over the place.
Definitely some low lifes around.
I did then the best that I knew how. When I knew better, I did better.

As a big advertiser my best
As a big advertiser my best advice is just ignore the add. If you email them often that's all they want..
I lately have been getting text's and messages on my Iphone. They are the worst. as they come about at all times mostly during the night. So were i have always said to my client ring me anytime that has now changed.
Mind you had a client ring me at 6.30 on Sunday morning to ask me if his trailer that he bought 5 years ago takes 45mm bearings?
