scottos catch bag

decided against hittin the same lumps as yesterday, and went a few extra miles south to some lumps we havent been to in at least 2 years.

good to see the numbers still around, and we had no dramas gettin our bag on half a tank each, including these 2 bad boys! missed a couple that were even bigger too, but will leave them and that lump alone for a while. plenty of them out there ATM. heaps of berried too.

sorry, mobile phone photo = shit quality.

I will most definitely Tim, I have the boat back now and all is good [except my finances], but diving for the buggers seems to be the most productive way to secure a good feed.

lamby, these 2 are goin to be turned into a ripper crayfish mornay recipe that i have, but not because jumbos taste a bit tough (which they dont),  but becauses 2 of these are the perfect amount to fill my big baking dish, and should feed a crew of about 6 -7 peeps!

yeah its a good feeling when the cray loop goes out of control with the flap flap flap of a jumbo!

timmbo we were in 11m a few miles south from hillaries.

steve diving is by far the most productive way for recs to grab a feed of these mofos. tip top fun too!!

Yeah

Yeah i second that Scotto. Pots are a hassle and diving seems more productive - plus much more fun seeing what lies beneath. I'm going again tomorrow, weather is looking reasonable.

overcast is actually not bad, as the sun usually just lights up all the silt anyway, so no sun = better vis (most of the time...). when my new LED torch arrives, they wont stand a chance!
