Scuppers leaking

Howdy Folks,
The new toy has an aluminium scupper on each side and they leak when there are a couple of people standing in the back of the boat, or when we are drifting and the boat cops a wave up the backside.
The seals dont seem damaged, there is no dirt or grit on the seal and the spring seems lively and it shuts like a mouse trap...but you can see water dribbling in.
Is that normal or is there something I can do to keep the water on the outside?
It is not a concern, rather a pain as the carpet gets damp and I am not a fan of water on the dry side of the hull.

Double check it's not
Double check it's not leaking between the scupper housing and hull, rivets or screws. Otherwise just replace the seal and spring, about 7 bucks each scupper

same
Mine are exactly the same, were old and thought that may have been the issue so I bought complete new ali scuppers and replaced, plenty of sealant and sealed rivets, they leak just as much as the old ones. I Agree with Saulty, mine are likely just too low so they are sometimes sitting under water as the boat rocks with the waves particularly with 2 people at the back of the boat. Yet to find a solution outside of removing them and welding plates over the voids.

You can get flexible hose
You can get flexible hose about 500mm long that act as a one way valve. Check out dhubite videos for more info. I think he used to be a member on here.

+ 1 for the layflat hose
A mate has them fitted to his new Niad and I was skeptical but after fishing off it for a week recently I couldnt believe how well it worked.
