I’d suggest to buy one way bigger than recommended for ur Boat size. I have a 465m Boat and use one that is suited to 7m boats and still dosent slow me down as much as I’d like... maybe because mine is just a shitty bcf anchor
def go see ryan . we had a 7mtr glass with plenty of wind catching area and we grabed one from ryan. worked a treat . its going straight back on to the new tub , wouldnt use anything else.
budget sea anchor ............get hold of grass bag , or garnet bag ... with the four corner ties on it ... measure out 4 equal length 8-10 mm ropes about 2.5 metres long ...tie them onto each corner of the bag , then tie the other ends onto a large brass swivel ... other end of swivel tie onto your 11-12 mm sea anchor rope back to boat .. 10-15 metres tops ..
lastly cut a hole approx 350-400 mm in the bottom or funnell end of grass bag ..then attach a smaller 8-10 mm longer rope in a different colour back to the top of your swivel ..this one is for hauling it in backwards when you are about to move , colour diff is so you can easily find the haul rope when she needs to come inboard
this will work a treat , and slow you right back to .3-.5 of a knot when drifting ... and lasts for eons
Hezzy has got it down pat, bulker bag with ropes on each corner strap to a swivel and a lazy line to the back corner to deflate it when its time to pull it in.
If you can get one with a sewn in tube on the bottom even better.
Cheers guys - I reckon i know where i can get a bulker bag from too..... Will also check out big fat snapper. As usual fishwreck providing good feed back

We have a Caribbean 2300
We have a Caribbean 2300 (7.05m, probably 2.5t+ loaded). Is the Silk 6-9m the right one to go for over the Jumbo or the 6-12m option?
