Service Shimano trynos 30 & 20

Have had some trouble servicing a couple of lever drag reels. Normaly just give them a dip in warm soapy water leave them to dry then inox the external moving parts. but for some reason decided to strip them right down layed everything out neat cleaned everything up lubricated and reversed them back together. looked great and looked like i knew what i was doing however now they both are stiff to wind when the drag is up, if i back the drag right off they wind like normal but when setting the drag up to 5kg they can hardly be turned. Does anyone have any ideas of what i have misplaced / needs replacing or what i have done incorrectly? Any feedback is appreciated and can hopefully save me sending them away

washers
i would say you have put a washer in the wrong spot giving them more drag than they should have!! i would either download a parts manual and check out what you have done wrong or take it to a tackle store! also when you wash them and inox your reels they should have a little grease on your gearings

When you inserted the Cone
When you inserted the Cone disc springs (part #20 on schematic) did you make sure that they were alternating direction so that they sit (please forgive my diagram) as ----- () () ----- Rather than (( )) or (( ((.. one way is slightly concave and one convex so you create a dip in the middle of each set. It can reduce or increase drag pressure if done incorrectly.

Thanks for the feedback.have
Thanks for the feedback.
have them both up and running must have mixed up the disk springs when cleaning and one i think got pulled apart with the drag lever it the wrong position. thanks again as i was reluctant to take it into the tackle store up here as its normaly months to you see them again and they try to charge you more than replacment cost to get them back, joys of the pilbara great fishing but not as good service.
