Hi Guys,
i jigged this shark up the other day and was wondering what species it is. I think it's a sandbar but could be wrong...

cool looking shark!
When asked by a non-fisherman 'how many fishing rods do you really need?' the correct answer is either:
n+1 (where n is the number of fishing rods you currently own); or
n-1 (where n is the number of fishing rods which would cause your significant other to dump you.

Sandbar Shark
I agree, this is a Sandbar Shark Carcharihinus plumbeus. As fishing fanatic said - the very tall dorsal fin is diagnostic. Great looking fish.
