Sharks

Been out fishing the last two days and one thing I can tell you is that the sharks have been well fed. I on the other hand have not been so well fed thanks to the sharks. I did see something that I have never seen before and that was a spinning shark. It would have elevated itself about 8 foot and was an awesome sight. About two minutes later the better half hooked the bugger and we saw another show. It made a "B" line straight toward the boat and I to say I was concerned is an understatement. A two minute display and it had bitten through the leader. No photo's to show but memories for a life time.

I am, as I've said, merely competent. But in an age of incompetence, that makes me extraordinary.

Mako
Sounds more like a mako if it made a run straight at the boat and not a spinner.

Yeah I seen one of those
Yeah I seen one of those spinner sharks a mounth ago it was pretty impressive. But On the other hand i was out on wensday and the sharks were very quiet i was quite suprised cause we wernt far out and in a normally shark infested area. but in the past couple of mounths ive had to go to china to get away from them.

Location
You hadn't mentioned where you were fishing so it was a semi educated guess from my end, though have caught makos up past Bedout island off Hedland.

Spinner Sharks
I have also seen these spinning sharks.... Off Dirk Hartog Island!! I actually though they must have been Mako's !!!
Jumping out right out and spinning (barrell rolling)....
same trip we heard this huge groaning sound and the boat rocking from side to side....
Skipper and I were spinning out wondering WTH it was,, took a look over the side and here was this massive whale shark scratching its head and back under the bow of our boat!!!!! (47 footer luckily)
Was an awesome trip!!!!
