Kimberley boat trip (Derby to Talbot or Kuri Bays)

Im hoping to get up to southern part of the Kimb coast in the next 3 - 6 weeks, went thru last year and cant resist going back again, despite the effort and cost and the bloody tow to Derby!

Wondering if anybody is interested in joining up and bringing their own boat.  Last year went thru 1600l of fuel but we did a huge route and not always with the flow of the water.  I may be able to get 'cheapish' fuel well north of talbot, so its possible we might aim for Prince Regent River this time, which would really be the icing on an already extra-ordinary cake!

Ill be going slowly with an emphasis on photography and fishing, and may spend 4 weeks plus up there, but any accompanying boat, once youve spent a week or two there, shoud have the confidence to get back alone, it was just the first few days that unnerved us last year

!

there are some pics of 2011 trip somewhere in this pilbara thread - email me if you want to discuss   cheers dave@fieldtouring.com
