Generally beach better than rock wall unless your down near mandurah, then I'd fish the rock wall every time. Berley, a little often. Pollard & fish oil or bread crumbs & fish oil. Bait chaser (sabiki) rig with tiny bits of prawn under a blob or berley cage that you stuff the berley in. Cast out & wind in slow but steady. That will take care of the herring. Whiting you can use the same rig minus the blob/cage & try a bit of squid for bait. Legally there is a maximum of 3 seperate hooks on a line & some bait chaser rigs come with 6 hooks so you may need to cut them in half before using them to remain on the good side of the law.
