Itll work mate, in fact i think the slide seems to grip braid a bit better. The thing you have to be carefull about is abrasion from the clide clip on your braid.... when a wave washes the clip back towards you and it locks onto the line it can cause damage. The other potential problem is a fish picking up your bait before it reaches the stopper and running, moving the slide quickly down the braid which will also cause abrasion and potentially burn you off.
Personally I much prefer mono for sliding, but if you not sliding all that often its probably not a big problem

Yer ive been doing research
Yer ive been doing research and they do mention burn offs. But i probably wont be sliding a lot so it might be worth a try. Cheers for the info.
