Mosied on down for a run during the week, was dead flat calm when i left home, but a gentle ENE was brewin as i hit the carpark. Greeted the morning fisherman, mostly retirees and other bludgers like me, and rigged up the Adventure. Bursting with anticipation in trying out my redesigned camera mount, and seeing how moving the battery rear would affect "Shufoy's" performance. The sun was hinting at spilling over the horizon as i get my feet wet for the first time and cruise of the shoreline.

 Picked up 3 squid in 10mins just off the shore, and headed out for a brief troll before anchoring up and throwing out some fresh squid baits. I threw small SP's on the light rod, picking up a constant stream of baby Pinkies, at around 20cm+, this turns to a mix of these and skippy around 25-30cm which are great fun on light gear.

The other rod takes off smoothly, and i have a short, torrid affair with a big flappa, only to have him bust me off shortly after. By this stage the NE was really blowing, 15knots++ and gusting hard. So i shelter at anchor for a while, before no sizeable hit's or runs, i head back to the troll.

On the last run of the day, working my way back into the nor'easter, i had another hook up, and after an awesome fight, landed this 60cm+ Pinky!


After a long day, this Pinky was great reward for some hard work!   :D

An excellent reward to end a tough day. But i tried some new techniques today, but it paid off, when the hard to get fish was got!!
