So, can anyone tell me where the fun is in jigging

 got out today with a mate on his boat and gave jigging a go.

 Now i am so bloody sore all over. 

How can this be fun. altho, i will get out there and try again

I dont even know how to answer that but yeah as MO said, the strike is amazing and I quite enjoying mucking around with actions. Then the challenge of fighting them! list goes on...

 

But I dont see how you could possibly think its not more fun then tying big dropper rigs with smelly baits and dropping them down and waiting for a hit then winching it up with your 24kg stroker haha! Not all about fishing for food...

hemi, sounds like you need to do some sounding and find some ground :D

If anything I've noticed jigging pretty much skips all the rat fish. Dad was using bait so was his friend, they were getting bite after bite and couldn't get anything decent, all small and stingy fish, i sent my 100g knife jig down there and got a nice 8-8.5kg dhuy.
