Soft Plastic - Setup advice
Looking for some setup advice from the Demersal soft plastic enthusiast on this site.
Have been converted to metal jigging over the past couple of seasons and have now started to get good results on most ventures out to sea, normally fishing NOR in the 30 – 50 m depths. Current setup for OH is a Saltiga 15H running pe3 on an old Jigwrex pe4 rod and for spin, a Sustain 5000 on an Azusa pe3-4 rod, both with a couple of meters of 60 lb FC leader. Leaning towards the OH setup for metals.
I want to start having a crack with the soft plastics and take out 2 setups, one for Metals and one for Plackies. From reading as much as I can from this site about the subtle differences in these 2 types of Jigging, would appreciate any feedback as to the suitability of either of the above 2 setups for plastics.
Also have a Saltiga Game 3500 matched with Saltiga 70S which I have used more as a top water casting outfit. Any thoughts on using this for Jigging Plastics?
Will probably head into one of the site sponsors sites and get some in store help ( ie. Spend lots of money ), but would appreciate any feedback on the above as to the suitability of my current gear.
Any other top tip for a plastics newbie, or a must have placky to throw on a jig head to start out with would be great.

certainly no guru here but
certainly no guru here
but for 30-50m I prefer a plastics rod max 6'6"
Just My opionion.
7' would be fine for shallower water but becomes too hard for that depth.

I have a Saltiga bay jigging
I have a Saltiga bay jigging rod 6"4' matched with a morethan 3000. I've had that rod for 6 or 7 years and it's a beast for plastics in the 30-50m range.

Looking for something simler
Looking for something simler anyone got feed back on Shimano Trevala jig rods for large plastics. A couple come in 6'6" lengths and lure weights for jig heads to suit that depth.
