Sol TD2500
Has anyone stripped (and put back together) a sol td2500
I stripped mine the other day and I have mostly put it back together. Stripped it because it got dunked and I wanted to make sure there was no salt water lying around inside. Interesteing that it was as dry as a bone inside so seaks all worked. Only little bit of corrosion was on the anti reverse lever shaft which doesn't seem to have any moisture intrusion prevention, just a tightish slide fit in through the back of the reel
Anyway, washed it all with Kero and after that noticed some parts that I hadn't identified while stripping. They must have been attached to some bits and floated off during the Kero wash
They are
3 shims - very thin SS about 13mm OD by about 10mm ID
1 bigger shim which I didn't measure and I have put it back in the clutch assembly - reasonably sure it was meant to go there
1 small ss washer about 5mm OD by about 2.5mm ID
and a small plastic sleeve with a shoulder which I cant really identify on thne schematic
I have attached pictures and if anybosy has done this before, any help will be appreciated
Thanks
Eric

Without knowing the sizes i will have a stab in the dark, the 3 shims belong on one side of the main gear, the collar thing goes on the pinion and sits in the round thing for it, the washer belongs somewhere on the reverse bearing assembly.

Come and see me
The 2 bottom bits look like they come off the main gear shaft to the handle
the 3 big ones 'may' sit on top of the main anti reverse bearing
come and see me later and bring the schematics

The small ss washer is a shim
The small ss washer is a shim for the knob
The plastic collar Im sure belongs on the main shaft between the rotor seat and the shaft under the rotor retaining nut
The 3 other shims/washers Im not sure, possibly for the crank bearings to get optimal crank to pinion clearance, if the handle has 'slop' back and forth, this maybe why
I am, as I've said, merely competent. But in an age of incompetence, that makes me extraordinary.

I have the 3000 it got a belting while salmon fishing. The roller bearing is making a bit of noise but that is only a $10 part, everything else is fine and runs smooth as even after getting a belting from some waves in salmon season. The easiest reels to clean also, just wash em with a cloth under running warm water, spray with inox afterwards.
