Hi Guys,
Just wandering if anyone has any suggestions for a spinning reel. I'm looking for a 3000 sized. Budget is about $250-270. I like the look of the daiwa sol (the new one). Any advice much appreciated.
Cheers, Charlie.

Daiwa SOL2 3000, one of the nicest reels I have ever owned, smooth as silk. Be aware it is very high speed. Shimano stradic FJ 4000 would be the best allrounder.

hi mate ive got a 2004 sol ii, brilliant little reel but set me back $330 in my opinion your much better off spending $200 on an fj stradic which are also good sturdy reliable reels, leaving the rest for tackle
Cheers :)
