Spinning rod to pair with Saragosa 20K
Hope everyone is enjoying the long weekend.
I'm just after some ideas on what rod to pair with a Saragosa 20000. I want to use it for casting big baits into the surf, slide baiting and also general shore fishing. Budget is anywhere from $200 to $500 for the rod itself.
I've got my mind almost made up on an Assassin EVO Zero AEZH, although that's at the high end of what I want to spend - can get a demo model for $495 at the moment. The Sensor Surf IZM Spin 153 (model 153XXS) also looks like it would go well with this reel. It's around $420 and the cast and line weight are similar to the Assassin.
I'm just considering all options and while I really want to get my first brand new Assassin, I'm also thinking f**k it, just get a 14' Prevail and with the money I'll save I can get some more of the gear I want.
In the $200-300 range though, what other rods would pair well with the 20K? Must be a versatile rod suited to the types of fishing mentioned above.

Go the assassin, worth every
Go the assassin, worth every extra cent you put into it. Can have a look at the beach Masters if you want to spend a bit less, the older models are being cleared out for a good price.

Had the same combo. I hope they've used better guides on the assassin since l bought mine 3 years ago because there shit. Had to replace afew. Good rod though.
Sold the gosa and now use either a saltist or my Catalina. Seem to match up well.
