Squid in the sound

With the season heading into Autumn, I am hoping to start getting a few squid again. Wondering if they are about about in reasonable numbers in the sound. Long tripo for me, so not wanting to go unless there is a erasonable chance of gertting a few. Cheers

While we are down that way, is there anywhere in reach of the Sound that crabbing is legal. Be nice to be able to do a bit of crabbing as well

Ramp upgrades at Woodies
from DOT, will make the ramp very busy on weekends
"...Boat launching capacity at Woodman Point will be temporarily halved from 22 February 2021 to allow for major maintenance.
Low tides are required to complete the maintenance and timing the work between the peak holiday season and Easter will minimise disruption.
The four eastern ramps will be closed and while the four western ramps will remain open during the work, delays are anticipated and skippers are urged to use other facilities from 22 February to 1 April 2021....
