Squidding - Geograph Bay over Christmas

Hi All,
Going south over christmas - plan to do a bit of squidding from the runabout.
Anyone got any tips or is it the wrong time of the year?

Find sea grass plenty around
Find sea grass plenty around the jetty, and get some descent Jigs the $20 - $30 ones out fish the cheapys 100%

Well
yeah, it's the wrong time of year (winter far better) but there are still a few around if you work hard.
I've personally found weedbeds with a depth of 5-8m west of the jetty the most productive.
