Hi all, 

Mates and I have recently gotten into a bigger boat, so while we still have the two we've decided to get one final trip out of the 17' Ali Star and a first trip out of the 23' Chivers in the second week of august, if anyonelse is making plans to be around during that time keep an eye out for us!

We've done the run from DHI from deham twice on the smaller boat sticking within a couple of km's of the coast due to a pretty average sounder (operators) and due to limited fuel, even so we've had enough success to return with Pinkies, baldies and macks with not too many sharks. 

This trip, weather permitting we the plan is to get into some deeper fishing, hopefully targetting rankins and reds. I've read through some great advice on FW w.r.t. our new sounder the furuno 620 as well as the pretty useful info here: http://www.teamcruisecraft.com.au/images/TUNING%20SOUNDERS.pdf however i'm hoping some of the guys on here with a bit more steep point/DHI experience can offer up some good advice, particularly having only been earlier in the year what we should be targetting?
