Hi all,
Heading up to Steep point for the first time in March 16' and cant wait. Just chasing some thoughts on my ideas and if any of you experienced fishos would recommend anything different
- I have a Phleuger salt 80 with 65pd finns, will the reel be too heavy for spinning all day teamed with a nice graphite 9-10ft rod? (its about 740gms I think)
- I also have a 12ft Phleuger Crank 20-30pd graphite.......with a nice reel could that work for a bottom bounce/ballon dual rig???
Been doing a heap of research on here and i see there is alot of different opinions and experiences so all info is muchly appreciated
Cheers,
Laney

Fly Net
I can't say they will be bad, but make sure you pack some fly nets.
They were unbelievable when we were there this year. Stick em in your glove box just incase, I hope you don't require them but good to have.
Look for the signs on the way up, road workers from Gero onwards wearing them, none left on the shelves at Billabong or Overlander..
HAHA... enjoy
Cheers & Stay safe

Catch up with BJ for some of his lead heads to cast around, they work great up there.
