Headed out at first light .Hit the first spot before the sun came up and the fish were on the bite.Getting 6 dhuies in the first few drifts.all returned .Moved around a few different spots finding dhuies,sambos,harliquin,break sea,and other small fish.Had a few whales playing close by.in all a great day and some good conditions .total fish for the day
17 dhuies up to 7kg no big ones.
3 Sambos
3 break sea
2 harliquin
1 flathead and redthroat

You forgot
to mention how friggin cold it was
and that you caught the two harleys - within an hour on different spots

Fairly safe to say you got a feed .. haven't bagged a harley as yet .. presumably their good eatting . hasn't been cold at all Jody maybe a little crisp , I remember going out 2 yrs ago in June at daybreak and it was like -1 or something silly , I had to peel my fingers off my palms lol . Well done guys .

We have found harleys to be soft and mushy and release them if possible. I have heard others say they are great??? What gives?

went out of two rocks on Saturday night to a few 'good' spots for a couple of snapper and one undersized dhuie- they must have all been waiting for you.

It seems to me that you could be of the coast of Africa and all of a sudden a yak will appear next to you. These guys seem to have no limit on how far they will travel

Only had one boat near me all day a blue ali .There was a sea rider the same size and colour as mine launch before me. He headed well north.
