Sunset or rising tide

So on a day like today with high tide about 2pm is it just a case that you fish at sunset and beyond and just accept tide is not "ideal", ignore the tide, or is it worth a flick 10-2? Tailor I guess? Traditionally I'd just hit the sunset.

I note the "major" is 4-6ish. Maybe it was a dawn fishing day...

No point sitting around till
No point sitting around till the 'ideal' time, may as well sit around with a bait out, never know.
I am, as I've said, merely competent. But in an age of incompetence, that makes me extraordinary.

I'm unlikely to get permission to head out at 10 and put a bait out until 10pm and record my findings:) I was just wondering if people had preferences or just went the sunset.

fair few tailor around at
fair few tailor around at Floreat this evening. And if you believe the "major" was 4-6 well IMO they were on the bite a bit before sunset rather than after.

You had better luck than I
You had better luck than I did. Fair bit of weed around my area. Couldn't get past it and was pretty choppy

yep it was windy, wavey, big current south to north. I used a star sinker so bloody huge it is not polite to discuss in polite society. But the fish were there at least. On here reported last week I caught sod all when 150m down the beach they were bagging them like it was going out of fashion.
Thanks also to the bloke who told me my lights were on... hope you got that shark as a reward.
