Have seen a few boats on the swan with nets in. Just wondering if anyone knows if there are any crabs around yet and where?

Summer swan crabbin and trollin for tailor in between drops is a sweet way to spend some time on the water with the fam

Wire bait pockets
use those or the blowies will rape and pillage very quickly...I made my own from small galv chicken wire around 25cm sq and have them permanently secured in the centre of each net...would've thought it be a bit early for crabs but gotta be in it to win it

You can use blowies for bait
You can use blowies for bait - blowies dont seem to eat blowies.
I always bait heavy for crab as chicken necks are cheap as. if you wire bait under nets with a mesh bottom as well as put bait in a bait container it stops tje crabs from grabbing and running
